October 30 - HOME!
CHEMO ROUND 3/TRANSPLANT ROUND 1 ✅💪🏻 Hudson and I got home yesterday afternoon! He was so excited to be home and to play outside yesterday evening. I loved getting to surprise the girls and pick them up after school. The girls are very excited that we’ll all be together for Halloween.

October 26 - Weekend Update
Hudson and I are still hanging out at Hotel Children’s On Wednesday, he started with a runny nose and mild cough, so they ran a respiratory panel on him, and he was positive for parainfluenza 1. Unfortunately, this caused him to now be full isolation, so he can no longer leave his room at all.

October 22 - Midweek Update
Hudson had a good long weekend with his Daddy, and I SO enjoyed my weekend with the girls. Clare had a soccer tournament in Perryville this weekend, and we got some good cousin time in after her games on Saturday, and we had SVS Trunk or Treat on Sunday evening. Busy weekend! After work yesterday, I drove back up to STL to tag Matt out.

October 18 - Week Update
Hudson’s had a pretty good week. The “treatment” part of this round of chemo/stem cell transplant is done - we are still just in the waiting phase right now. His ANC is currently still falling - he has yet to hit 0.

October 14 - Transplant Day
Hudson’s stem cell transplant went great today! It was pretty fascinating, actually - they brought the frozen stem cells into the room and used a water bath to thaw them right there at the bedside. Then they drew them up into a big syringe and injected them straight into his line.

October 13 - Weekend Update
Weekend update! Hudson started his chemo Friday morning, with two chemo infusions on Friday and the same two medications again on Saturday. One of the chemo meds is called thiotepa and is actually secreted through the skin. So to keep Hudson from getting burns/skin irritation from the chemo sitting on his skin for too long, he had to have bed baths every six hours from Friday evening until this evening.
