July 26 - Surgery Recovery

Hudson has has a big day! He started with his MRI at 0730, and he did great with the anesthesia. They couldn’t believe how quickly he woke up and was ready to get on with his day. All of his exams with his doctors went great. He was evaluated by OT and was discharged because he’s doing so well! The PT stopped in while he was napping, so he hasn’t had a PT evaluation yet. He may still get a consult tomorrow. We are still waiting on the official radiology report from his MRI, but his neurosurgeon did look over the images, and she felt good about what the report will say. This afternoon, Hudson was moved out of the PICU and onto the neuro floor! Praise God! He is having some pain/discomfort, especially when nearing time for his Tylenol to be due. Overall, we’re so proud of him - he’s handled this all like such a champ!

Hudson got to see his sisters today! It was so good to spend time with the girls. Hudson was napping for a good chunk of the time that they were here, so we enjoyed some special time, playing board games, coloring, and playing in the playroom. They enjoyed making bracelets and sunglasses in the playroom.

Hudson also got to spend some time in the playroom this evening! I anticipate we’ll be spending lots of time there while we’re here.

We are praising and thanking God for the way he has provided for Hudson and for all of us on this journey so far. We are so thankful for all those who are praying for Hudson and who have reached out with support and love. Please continue join us in prayer for good news from Hudson’s MRI, with no evidence of remaining tumor, for complete healing and relief of his pain/discomfort, and for a good pathology report.

Jesus, we trust in you!
