August 26 - Back to the Hospital
Hi all, us again.
Hudson spiked a fever after waking up from his nap today. This isn’t terribly surprising since his immune system is nil after his chemo. We’re in the ER at St. Francis waiting for his transfer to SLCH. They’ve drawn his labs and blood cultures and started him on antibiotics. He got a special new giraffe friend, and they’re taking great care of him. He’s even feeling up to eating some PB&J, although he’s had some grumpy gills looks for the nurses and doctor since we’ve been here.
Please keep Hudson in prayer this evening - for a safe transfer to SLCH, for a quick recovery with no complications, and for us to return home again soon, when it’s safe to do so.
We are thankful for our hospital here and our team at Children’s taking care of our sweet boy. Thank you for your prayers!
