March 7 - Radiation Update
8 radiation treatments down, 20 to go! 💪🏻
Hudson’s been trucking along the last week and a half, and he’s been tolerating the sedation and radiation really well so far. He has been waking from sedation without any tears or thrashing (very different from other procedures 🫣), and for the most part, if there’s a snack or sucker ready to go, he settles in and is happy pretty quickly. He’s had a decent appetite most days and hasn’t been overly tired yet, either. He’s doing great!
Hudson’s radiation oncologist said we could expect his skin to start showing signs of irritation this coming week, so we’ll be watching for that. Hudson actually seems to look forward to his appointment each morning, which I think has everything to do with the awesome team. Plus, daily prizes, painting, car driving - what more could a two year old want?!
We have been SO incredibly blessed by the gift of a “home away from home” while we’re in St. Louis. We cannot thank Scott and Kim Layton enough for sharing their Soulard sanctuary with us throughout this journey. Truly, it has made such a difference to have a private and comfortable place to rest, play, eat, and sleep during the week. We are so grateful! ❤️
We’re excited for another weekend at home, spending time together as a family. Next week, Matt’s on Hudson duty, and I’ll be enjoying a week with the girls. As always, we are so appreciative any prayers you could offer for our little fighter!
Jesus, we trust in you. đź’›
